Work has been terribly slow lately (this economy is killing us). Anyway, it was a beautiful summer day and I was climbing out of my skin. So I gathered my paint box and drove up the road to a friends home and sat beside their brook and painted this. It would have benefited by a somewhat larger panel, but I’ve been purposefully limiting myself to very small sizes in order to get myself out to paint without getting hung up about it.
If I keep at it at these small sizes and get my painting muscles back in shape, I can let myself start to get more ambitious again. Right now the whole point is to just paint.
